This at first glance is amazing, the textures and the monochrome colouring really caught my eyes, as it were. Then as I look closer, I see that over his left is a bit of shading that doesn't look all that correct. It looks asthough his head is caving inwards or something, and to me that slightly puts me off the picture. But then I look away from there to look at the hair, and that makes me smile again, the brush technique makes it look asthough it really is hair and I love that, the parts that are standing out because of the gel he uses, you can clearly see that in the picture. The shading aswell in the hair is outstanding, you have shaded and highlighted it where it is ment to be, you can clearly tell the light is coming from Ruki's right. [The left side of the portrait].
The jacket, that is one part I truely love about this, the highlighing is amazing and looks just like leather, which makes me tingle personally I cannot find a way to describe that part of the painting.
Now moving to that hand, this part shocked me, it looks so real, but then I look at the thumb and it looks athough there are too many creases and wrinkles on it, I am not sure why. But it just seems a little off. Even though the rest of the hand is great.
I have noticed the lips keep catching me eyes, the shine on his bottom lip just makes me drool with happiness, very very good.

Altogether, this is a very good painting and it looks very realistic, asthough it was a photo maybe. I would love to see more of the Gazette group like this.
